Aftermath

Late last night, I wrote a blog entry "The Average Mind Part II." If you are reading this, and you haven't read that entry, its only one scroll below this entry. Lazy!
It is not even three (3) hours after the end of my first performance. I have to say, jumping up and down clapping like a lunatic (as is required of me in the play--go figure) in front of 650 people could be so easy. If you haven't tried it yet, I recommend it. It's really an experience.
Now, after two hours of vigorous dancing, singing myself hoarse, and much sweating--it's really hot back there. I am tired, even exhausted, but I know that, when I go to bed, I won't sleep a wink.
All in all. this weekend was really good. Friday was a snow day (no complaints there!), Saturday was uneventful and restful, as it should be (again, no complaints!), and today, was the play. The only part I wish never happened was the makeup. For crying out loud, why the bliddy hell do we have to wear makeup. When asking this, the answer was quite simple: to be able to see facial expressions, and facial components (mouth, nose eyes--thank G-d not the ears too!) What strikes me as insane is that there are people--news anchors, actors, etc. that have to endure this torture every day. How they endure such extensive brain damage is truly beyond me--but who am I, a naive little twerp, to question the ways of the world?
Ah, yes well, it was a successful performance, as all the tickets were sold out before the play. My family got let in because of me. Yes, I know, I'm special. And we truly did break a leg. And an arm. And we were lucky; we broke our necks too! Ha ha ha....

Yet as tired as you were, I bet it was all worth it. What part did you play, by the way? I'm a theater buff myself, just saw some Broadway shows.
