XP Is Going off Market! Help!

Ok, everyone, it's finally come to it: Microsoft is pulling the plug on the best OS that hit the tech market that looks nice. (I mean, face it, 2000 and it's predecessors were everything except for pleasing to the eye.) Yes, XP is going off the market! HELP!

I've had some hands-on experience with Vista, finally. Needless to say, all that I've read about how crappy and horrible Vista is has now been verified. It stinks. Sure, I am happy that Microsoft addressed it's security problem, because IE7 has the best pop-up and junk like that, and that's not what Firefox. I think it's official: I have made the change to Firefox, and I ain't looking back. Microsoft, we are happy you see this, but darkening the screen every frieking we try to download something onto the RAM is overkill, don't you think?

Yes, I know I am sounding like Maximum PC here, but they're right.

When searching for a laptop, I found that you can still get XP Pro for an additional $99. Even though that's cheaper than buying the OS separate than before, it's still too much, considering that you could have gotten it free with your PC like you can now with Vista.

In short, I'm stuck getting Vista Home Premium, but I'm going to make sure that I can run iTunes and Firefox before I say that Vista may have a chance. What do you think?
